Our "Introduction to Reach Forklifts" course is designed to give you a fast tracked learning experience on how to use a reach truck (or High Reach as the employment agencies call it).
High Reach forklift operators are in demand, so it makes sense that completing this course opens the doors to a lot of new job opportunities as a forklift operator. Being able to drive a high reach also makes you eligible for better paying jobs that you previously couldn't have applied for.
So How Does The High Reach Forklift Course Work?
This Short Course begins with a brief overview and demonstration of how the machine functions, followed by a one hour intensive driving lesson with you at the controls. Here you'll spend the whole hour performing a series of practical exersices under the close one on one supervision of your qualified instructor.
You'll be taught how to manuover the forklift around obstacles, pick, place and retrieve various sized loads from different heights, handle emergency situations, check and correctly park the machine and more.
On completion, you'll recieve a certificate to keep in your resume as record of your successful completion of the Reach Forklift (High Reach) Course.
Will I Be Able To Get a Job Straight After The Course?
The short answer is yes, this course opens the door for you to start working as a high reach operator but I must stress that this is an introduction to high reach course and although we'll teach you how to operate safely there is no substitute for experience.
We cram as much practical learning into the course as possible so that when you leave here, you can jump straight on a high reach forklift and be able to start operating. This said, certain jobs will require people with more experience than this course provides.
The course is designed to give you the entry level skills required to start working as a High Reach operator, the high level skills required for some fast paced workplaces can only come from time spent working on a high reach.

Where and When Are The Courses Held?
The Reach Forklift Courses are held at our Blacktown Training Centre and can be booked for any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoon between the hours of 1:30pm and 6pm.(Public Holidays Excluded)
